“PARANORMALISTS” save the Wigwam
Local paranormal organization, The Paso Del Norte Paranormal Society, will open it’s doors on Saturday, April 12th to their new office located at 108 E San Antonio. The Ghosts915 Paranormal Research Center will be the centralized location to downtown El Paso ghost tours, daytime history tours, display oddities, local art, and scheduled events.
Built in 1883 as the Fashion Saloon, the Wigwam Saloon was briefly owned by gunslinger John Wesley Hardin, but the ghost hunting team has moved to downtown to help with the preservation and restoration of this El Paso jewel.
“We dont want another eulogy for a downtown landmark.” says Henry Flores, President of the paranormal society. “Our good karma has brought great response from local historians and organizations. Everyone wants to be a part of this and its an amazing feeling to resurrect the Wigwam.”
The TAPS Family affiliate (Ghost Hunters from the SyFy channel), has scheduled ghost tours at Concordia Cemetery, San Elizario, and Downtown El Paso. Not only do they provide this unique form of tourism, but they also provide paranormal investigations, workshops, and history research.
For the grand opening on April 12th, the research center will have psychic readings available, documentary screenings of El Paso history, a faro game demonstration, and paranormal related lectures.
